Google at Comicon

This year NYDAC was approached to build a massive booth for Google at Comicon. The booth was placed right outside the Javits center so both Comicon attendees and regular passersby were able to check it out. The concept was to create different NYC landscapes to show off Google’s new AR capabilities. The booth was housed by 16 foot tall green construction walls to mimic a NYC construction site. Upon entering the inside of the booth you would find 3 separate landscapes to explore; a brick building with a stoop and front door, the front of a stone house and the facade of a NYC subway. Once attendees would point the Google devices at these different landscapes images would appear on the phone that were not on the walls in real life. The booth was a huge success with the maximum amount of attendees entering each day.
